"I found guard by accident, because I lost my then pepper spray and GD was sold at a local Atwood’s. One day I left my basic bottle in my pants as I put them in the washing machine and found the bottle at the bottom after I took my pants out. I thought it was ruined, but it gave me the opportunity to actually test it which would not have occurred otherwise. Later that evening, I sprayed a fence post standing 8 to 10ft away. The stream made contact and I waited 10 seconds for the aerosol to disperse if there was any. I took two steps forward and then beat a fast retreat! My eyes and mouth were already feeling the burn and had I gone any further, my sinuses would have been completely overwhelmed! I actually thought about going to the ER thinking I could possibly be having an allergic reaction to the formula. I went into the restroom to wash my hands and face, big mistake! All I did was spread the burn even after washing my hands first with soap and water. The after burn persisted sometime after. I’m a 5’11 male, over 200 pounds, did construction work for 18 years and im no stranger to discomfort or injury, but I can say that taking guard dog’s direct bite is something I would not want to experience! There are other sprays out there that are well known, but GD is the brand I carry, because I know it works! Thank you guard dog security."
