How hot is pepper spray? What is the heat level pepper spray?

Pepper spray is very hot and irritating because it is made from hot pepper plants. If you've ever cut a jalapeno and touched your face after, then you have likely experienced a painful burning sensation. However, this is very mild compared to Guard Dog Security's pepper spray formula! 

At Guard Dog Security we are proud to offer pepper products with a Major Capsaicinoids (MC) level of 1.44%! Pepper sprays that have a higher MC level will be more effective and hotter than other products. 

Pepper spray brands will measure their heat levels in a variety of ways like SHU rating or percentage of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC). But the most accurate measurement is by Major Capsaicinoids (MC). Our MCs are measured chemically through independent lab testing. This ensures that they accurately evaluate how hot the product is and make sure each batch is at the maximum level. 

If you ever need to use your Guard Dog Pepper Spray, you can use it confidently knowing it's over 5x hotter than a Jalapeno Pepper and 3x as hot as a Habanero Pepper! Ouch!
