"Thankfully, I haven't had to test the effectiveness and hopefully it never comes to this. However, My daughters has had this backpack for 3 years now and I'm a teacher so I'm keeping the old one and just got her a new one. The one thing I can say about this backpack its that it's held up 3 years with not so much as a rip. I am really impressed because I've had a Jansport less that My kid has had this backpack and It has several holes in it. 10/10 would recommend. Let's hope I never have to figure out if it works or not."

"I like this backpack a lot and I think the little one will too. The construction looks excellent and it had testing certificates inside the backpack when it arrived explaining the testing. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because on the outside there are lots of logos and identifiers as to what it is. One says guard dog security in two different places, a very large embroidered guard dog logo on the back pad, and then on the bottom of the back pad it says “Level IIIA ballistic tested and approved.” In my opinion they should be much more covert. Hopefully a bad guy isn’t going to get a good look at it but the other school children are. Some children are not honest and if they realize that this is a bulletproof backpack they may want it, and then steal it. It makes her or her belongings a target in a different way. I really hope this company rethinks that part. I understand they want to get their name out and their branding out in the world but a parent is going to be happy with the product and mention it to their close friends that have children. It doesn’t need to have indicators of what it is all over the outside, but overall, it looks like a great product."

"I ordered this back pack for my daughter who is just starting out in school. Honestly, $100 well spent! They ship very quickly, they are surprisingly ligh weight and you receive a full test sheet with information on what these back packs are rated for. I work with several Veterans who were all very impressed with the test results! I intend to pick one up for myself!"
